Goodbye Summer... Finally

I think that chill in the Melbourne air is finally here to stay (fingers crossed!). I shot these with my Holga (using Kodak 400 VC) over Summer. Thought they could be a reminder of something to look forward to once we've enjoyed all of those lovely Winter days.

Travels with my Hipstamatic - Part I

I love the iPhone Hipstamatic camera app. I often have mixed feelings about using it as
I feel as though its cheating (a little). It does mean that I always have a camera with me
and I love the results. Now that I'm more familiar with which 'film/lens' combinations work
best I feel a little more in control of what the outcome might be.

Paris - Street Art

Melbourne prides itself on being the street art capital of the moment - I find it all looking
a little bit the same which is why I was so excited to walk around Paris and
see a different take on things. Space Invader was quite prolific - it didn't matter where
I was whenever I looked up there he'd be!

Diana Mini

My first run with Diana Mini (shot on Rollei Retro 400). Works best on brighter days and
with a central viewfinder what you see is pretty much what you get (I've had a few
oddly cropped pics with the Diana F+ & I'm still struggling with it a little!).

Bali Heaven

My partner and I have started to talk about another trip to Bali. It made me a little nostalgic for that heavenly little island so I thought I'd look through photos from my previous trips.

I took my new Diana F+ and DSLR cameras with me last year. Here are some of my favourite shots.

I love the unpredictable nature of using a toy camera and medium format film. The anticipation of taking film to be developed then the excitement (and many disappointments) of seeing the result is something that we rarely experience in a digified world. The Diana F+ is one of four analogue cameras (with one more on it's way) that I am currently obsessed with.

I'm trying to master my DSLR camera and taking photographs for that matter... I've still got a long way to go but it is the thing I love to do the most.

Simple Solutions

My grandfather's analogue solution to converting Miles into KMs. Im not sure how accurate it is but I do love his brilliance none-the-less!
