The weather has finally turned here in Melbourne and that has made me a little bit excited. Its not so much the grey days that I love but there is something about this time of year that makes me feel weirdly content.
These are the things that I will enjoy as they days get shorter and colder;
• Wearing layers
• Gumboots in the rain
• Cashmere gloves
• Scotch on ice late at night
• Red wine under an outdoor heater
• Day long slow cooking
• Book books books
• Creating collages
• Guilt free DVD marathons
• Day trips to empty beaches
• Neil Young on rainy mornings
This is just a list of loveliness :) I love the beach in winter too! Although we are having a wonderful warm autumn here in Auckland and long may that last- not sure am ready for bad weather yet ;)
